As part of the Sathya Sai Village Integrated Project (SSVIP), on 15th May 2019, SSIO volunteers in Sri Lanka initiated a Water Purification Project in Kathaliyar Samalankulam, Oddusuddan in northern Sri Lanka. They were assisted by 23 soldiers from the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment of the Sri Lankan Army. The water project will provide a total of 2,000 litres of pure drinking water each day for 2,500 people residing in the area.
