Every month, SSE children from the Sathya Sai Centre of Cooksville, Mississauga, present a musical programme, “Melody of Divine Love,” to residents of the Erin Meadows Retirement Home. The theme for the 25th February 2018 programme was “Love,” with emphasis on the message of “Love All, Serve All.” The afternoon was filled with sweet melodies, rendered by talented children and youth playing the Tabla, harmonium, keyboard, and veena. Vibrant devotional songs echoed through the halls of the retirement home, with the audience clapping and singing along. The younger children performed a classic popular song, “Skidamarink,” with rhythmic dance movements to communicate the message of love for all. The programme ended with a brief skit, “Only Time Is Capable of Understanding the Value of Love.” This skit, beautifully presented with a lot of enthusiasm and dedication, touched everyone’s heart.
During an earlier visit to Erin Meadows in February 2018, the children had designed and created 25 cards to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Before the afternoon visit came to an end, the two youngest members of the group distributed the greeting cards, along with sweets, to the residents. The evening was filled not only with the sweetness of love and kindness but also with the brightness of happy faces enjoying the thoughtful gifts.
