On 18th February 2017, ten volunteers from the Sathya Sai Centre of Edmonton served 120 meals to senior citizens residing in the inner city. The Centre has provided this loving and joyful service consistently every second Saturday of the month, and on special occasions such as Baba’s Birthday, for more than 30 years. The SSIO has also worked cooperatively with Operation Friendship Seniors Society (OFSS) for longer than 20 years. The volunteers bring food and supplies to the OFSS facility and prepare sandwiches and soup, to be served to the seniors.
