Mahasamadhi Day of 2015 was observed across the USA, coast to coast, from New York to California.
In the days leading up to Mahasamadhi Day, 24th April 2015, Sathya Sai devotees in the Mid-Atlantic Region organised health and hygiene programmes. In addition, a health camp was held at East Elmhurst, Queens, New York City, on 11th April 2015 by the Sathya Sai Centres of New York. About 60 Sathya Sai volunteers, including medical professionals, served 90 people, who received health screenings, medical consultations, and a hygiene kit.
About 50 Sathya Sai volunteers, including medical professionals, organised a health camp in Houston, Texas, on 21st March 2015. In addition to a complete health screening, patients received information on balanced nutrition and a health kit.
Sixty Sathya Sai volunteers from the Lakewood, Mission Viejo, and Tustin Sathya Sai Centres in Southern California prepared and distributed meals for 550 people at 10 shelters for the homeless, in Santa Ana, Placentia, Costa Mesa, and Laguna Beach. The meals consisted of salad, Spanish rice, fajitas, quesadilla, beans, fruits, and juice.
