About 250 Sathya Sai devotees in South Africa organised a village service programme on 13th July 2014 at the Actonville Primary School in Benoni, Gauteng. Months of planning and analysis ensured that the service programme ran smoothly. Tokens were issued ahead of time, to enable an efficient distribution process. Breakfast was served to several thousand community members, and discussions were held on spiritual topics prior to the additional distribution of 750 grocery hampers, 4,000 hot meals, 1,000 blankets, and clothing. A blood donation camp was also held. The national music team presented devotional songs.
