Members of the Sathya Sai organisation in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia commemorated Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s 89th Birthday with devotional singing, Sai Spiritual Education (SSE) children’s performances, and other programmes. More than 1,000 people attended the majestic celebration in Sydney, despite an unusually hot day with temperatures around 430 C. As soon as the programme concluded, a sudden shower of rain, accompanied by a soothing cool breeze, brought immediate relief, which was appreciated as a token of blessing by Bhagawan.
In Melbourne, more than 1,100 Sathya Sai organisation members celebrated Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Birthday. The SSIO members presented a play titled Touched by God, followed by a talk on self-transformation. Sixty Sathya Sai children moved the audience with their rendition of the birthday song, “Aaje Tumhara Janamdin Hai” (Today is Your Birthday), bringing tears to the eyes of many. Certificates were presented to SSE teachers who had successfully completed a teacher training programme in 2014 and to all graduating SSE students of Group 4.
