In late June 2025, SSSIO volunteers from Russia and neighboring countries observed the Zonal Cleanliness Day, with 231 participants from 37 cities, including 54 non-members and 30 children. The event focused on service to the environment, fostering unity, and community engagement.
Volunteers from the Volga-Ural, Central, Northwestern, and Caucasus Regions in Russia, along with Belarus and Kazakhstan, took part in various activities. They cleared roadside branches, tidied city alleys, mowed grass, removed trash from parks, riverbanks, and forests, and cared for gardens and animals. Some teams repaired stable roofs and helped at equestrian clubs, while volunteers at family camps also pitched in by cleaning their living areas.
The day included teleconference meetings featuring bhajans, spiritual talks, and educational sessions for both adults and children. In the Caucasus region, the participants supplemented their clean-up efforts with Gayatri chanting, a Sai Olympic event, and creative contests for kids. In Belarus, the volunteers led creative workshops along with their environmental services.
