In October 2024, the Sathya Sai Primary School in Trinidad celebrated its first public Diwali (Indian Festival of Lights) with over 200 attendees, including 15 Sai devotees, students, parents, friends, and the public. The event began with a short talk on values by the school principal, followed by devotional songs, dance recitals, and a talk by a student on the significance of Diwali lights. Sweets were distributed, and attendees were invited to light lamps on bamboo stands created by school students and parents. The program, organized by the parent support group, was made even more special by the participation of former students.
