The Sri Sathya Sai Center in Melbourne, one of Australia’s oldest Sai centers, celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2023. One of its impactful service projects is providing meals for about 25-30 hungry people every Thursday at the Queen Victoria Market. Members offer various items such as pizza, veggie burgers, rice and curry, pasta, bread rolls, tea, and coffee. Feeding the hungry is considered a sacred act of devotion when done with love and selflessness. Additionally, during major festivals like Christmas, the center distributes festive food, drinks, and gifts to uplift the recipients and make them feel appreciated. The meal service attracts people from diverse backgrounds, fostering interconnectedness between volunteers and those served. Sai volunteers are grateful to share their love with those in need.
