More than 600 SSSIO members from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia celebrated the 97th Birthday of Sri Sathya Sai Baba on November 23 and 24, 2022.
In Kazakhstan, 29 devotees sang uplifting bhajans and shared stories of their trips to the Ashram of Baba with great nostalgia. In Azerbaijan, Sathya Sai’s Birthday was celebrated with an online program dedicated to Sai’s Love and Human Values. Participants viewed a video on the life of Swami and then enjoyed a role-playing game. A few devotees shared their thoughtful reflections on “What do I wish for myself on the Birthday of Sri Sathya Sai Baba?”.
In Belarus, SSSIO members organized an online public meeting on the values, teachings, and legacy of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Some devotees reminisced about their first trip to Prasanthi Nilayam and how their memories with Swami have sustained them. The program concluded with uplifting Russian songs about Baba, reciting poems about God, a darshan video, and a presentation of activities of the SSSIO of Belarus.
More than 500 SSSIO members across Russia celebrated the 97th Birthday of Swami both in person and online. Rooms were festively decorated with colorful balloons, garlands, and bouquets. The program included inspiring speeches by SSSIO officers, followed by a concert of songs, poems, parables, and bhajans dedicated to Baba.
