On the eve of Easter 2021, SSSIO volunteers from Ukraine visited the Reintegration Center, a local homeless shelter, to distribute food packages and personal hygiene kits for ninety residents as part of the Gift of Love project, with support from the SSSIO of Germany. Varieties of food, including fresh fruits, dry foods, and dessert were packaged in eco-friendly bags for distribution.
In Dnipropetrovsk, SSSIO volunteers distributed food packages to low-income families, the disabled, pensioners, and war veterans, during May 2021. In Kiev, volunteers distributed food packages in eco-friendly bags to low-income families in remote villages in June 2021. Besides providing grocery packages, the volunteers gave moral and emotional support to the families by spending time with them and listening to their stories which brought smiles to their faces.
