As part of Aradhana Mahotsavam commemorations, the Sri Sathya Sai Community Center of Iztapalapa in Mexico City organized a service project called Seeds of Love for the Community. On April 24, each one of forty families in one of Mexico City’s most marginalized communities received lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red cabbage, broccoli, and huauzontle saplings. The volunteers had originally planted the seeds which became saplings, over a month. The recipients then transplanted them and cared for the plants in their homes, enjoying an urban vegetable garden that would sustain them. As part of this project, the participants also built, painted, and decorated the wooden planters for the plants.
