About 70 people from the Sathya Sai Centre of Charlotte, North Carolina participated in two community parades and enthusiastically shared Sathya Sai Baba’s teachings on the five cardinal human values with thousands of Charlotte residents.

On 31 August 2019, more than 15,000 people from over 100 organisations participated in the Matthews Alive Community Parade, one of the largest annual Labour Day weekend parades in Charlotte. The parade’s theme, “Attitude of Gratitude” resonated with Baba’s teachings. SSE children prepared placards and banners for the event with the help of their teachers and parents. Bright orange balloons inscribed with human values were distributed to little children lined up along the parade route.

The annual 66th Union County Christmas Parade was held on 24 November 2019. The event drew more than 20,000 people, and the SSE children uplifted everyone’s spirits with their beaming smiles and joyous Christmas carols, while walking and waving cheerfully to the crowd. Sai Centre members distributed balloons with human values inscribed on them to the little children in the crowd.
