Each year, the Walk for Values team in Canada organizes an annual food drive and a service activity along with the walk. Despite the postponement of the event due to the pandemic this year, the team continued with the food drive, and found creative ways to share Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s love and message on human values. The volunteers created human-values-themed colorful lawn signs. In implementing the program, the team encouraged the participants to take a walk around their neighborhood on a designated day, wearing the Walk for Values T-shirt – in compliance with local regulations.
In Alberta, the Sathya Sai Center of Edmonton organized a Walk for Values in Terwillegar Park with many community members, all of them wearing the Walk for Values T-shirts.
In Saskatoon, SSIO volunteers collected approximately 300 pounds of food and provided financial support to the local food banks to serve families in need. In Winnipeg, Sathya Sai devotees donated approximately 700 pounds of food to the local food bank.
