Several abandoned animals, including rabbits, goats, sheep, chickens, pigs, donkeys, lamas, ponies, cows, dogs, and cats are cared for with love and empathy at an animal shelter in Graveyard Hendlberg, Lower Austria. On 28th September 2019, more than 15 volunteers, including 4 children from Vienna, Gratz, and Lower Austria came together to offer loving care to the animals at this shelter. With inclement weather forcing the volunteers to remain indoors, they cleaned several utility rooms and replaced bedding for the animals. Everyone, especially the children, were enchanted by the animals. During lunch, the volunteers listened to the teachings of Sathya Sai Baba on selfless service and karma yoga (the doctrine of selfless service). The volunteers were filled with joy and gratitude as they left the shelter.
