On 18 and 19 March 2020, SSIO volunteers including four doctors and two medical students in the northern region of Sri Lanka organised a COVID-19 preventive educational programme in the villages of Selvapuram, Bharathinagar and Inbasolai – which had been earlier adopted under the Sathya Sai Village Integrated Program. About 80 people participated in the event and hand sanitizers were distributed after the programme ended.
