The SSIO of Oman conducts a medical and vision camp at an industrial facility on the second Friday of every month to benefit about a hundred residents – mostly local workers and labourers. The monthly medical camp offers a general health check-up, including blood chemistry and glucose level tests, as well as a consultation with doctors on health issues and health education. Participants also learn about the adverse effects of undesirable personal habits. Additionally, there is an optometrist who performs eye tests and prescribes reading glasses, if needed.
