During April 2017, a series of devotional meetings in Mauritius featured Prof. Anil Kumar Kamaraju a long-time devotee of Sathya Sai Baba. On 22nd April 2017, about 500 people attended a programme at the Ramayana Centre, Union Park, which included soul-stirring bhajans. Prof. Kamaraju spoke on divinity, sharing beautiful anecdotes of his experiences with Baba. On the next day, 600 people attended a similar programme at Paul Octave Wiehe Auditorium, Reduit, which started with a procession. On 24th April 2017, 600 SSIO members from different parts of the island participated in a meeting at the Sathya Sai Centre of Wooton, Curepipe. On 25th April, at a programme at District Council, Quartier Militaire, SSE students presented a bouquet of patriotic songs extolling freedom fighters who had sacrificed their lives for their country. Professor Anil Kumar Kamaraju spoke on the unity of faiths. The next day, about 800 Sathya Sai devotees attended an event at Domaine Brij, Belle Vue Maurel, Riviere-du-Rempart.
