On May 19, 2024, a group of eight Young Adults (YAs) and a few Sai Spiritual Education Group 4 students visited the Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation (SKSFF). This volunteer-led organization rescues, rehabilitates, and provides medical care to stray and abandoned, sick, and injured dogs. The shelter currently houses over 200 dogs awaiting adoption.

The visitors began by taking the dogs for a walk outside the kennel. A few dogs were initially scared and nervous, but the volunteers’ patience and gentle approach helped the dogs feel more comfortable.

Volunteers also helped with various tasks, such as cleaning kennels, preparing food, and bathing the dogs. The YAs and members from the local Sathya Sai Center generously donated towels, dog shampoo, cleaning brushes, sponges, and water buckets to the shelter.

It was a wonderful service that allowed the volunteers to practice Sai’s universal message of Love All, Serve All, and Help Ever, Hurt Never, extending their love and compassion to these animals and gaining a deeper understanding of unconditional love.
