The Sri Sathya Sai Center of Detroit Metro launched the Healing Cards Project in 2020, inspired by a hospital initiative to uplift patients with kind messages. Shifting focus from decorative designs to heartfelt prayers and positive affirmations, the center has since delivered nearly 15,000 handmade cards to patients. Involving participants of all ages—from children to seniors in assisted living—the project brings comfort to those facing illness and isolation, while fostering a spirit of compassion and service among volunteers. The center hopes these cards leave a lasting impression of kindness and reinforce the value of health and human connection.
