In July 2024, the Siberian region of Russia hosted a Children’s Festival as part of the Zonal Spiritual Wellness Camp Active Summer 2024. The event, themed ‘A Happy Family is the Foundation for a Prosperous Homeland,’ aimed to foster love, respect, and unity within families. The festival attracted 34 people from three Sai Centers and two groups, including 12 children. The program was designed to engage the children and included games, dances, quests, exercises, devotional singing, creative workshops, and Sai Olympics.
Through these various activities, children learned about the importance of family in their lives, and the values of love, respect for parents, obedience, kindness, and forgiveness. The children also learned how to build healthy family relationships as a step to being responsible citizens. Through acting out stories, children understood family unity and, along with the adults, gained invaluable insights into honoring parents and being forgiving, loving, and patient with one another. The festival concluded with a delightful round dance and an expression of gratitude to God.
