About 60 Sai volunteers from Dallas, Austin, and Houston traveled to a health screening camp held by the SSSIO on April 15, 2023, at the Turning Point Church in Vidor, Texas, for more than 100 low-income individuals of the Greater Beaumont community. Health screening services included blood pressure checks, vision and auditory screenings, breast exams, and dental and podiatry services. Guests were treated to a delicious hot meal and received hygiene kits. SSSIO members also delivered non-perishable food items to replenish the church pantry.
Carlene Womack, a Community Relations Representative from Amerigroup, commented, “This marks my 20th year working with the SSSIO on medical camps. I appreciate the expertise you bring to the table to help those in our community who need it.”
