For 25 years, SSIO volunteers from the Sathya Sai Centres of Phoenix, Mesa and Scottsdale, and the local Young Adult group take turns to provide breakfast every week for 400 to 700 homeless and low-income people at the Andre House in Phoenix, Arizona. Each week, about 25 SSIO volunteers arrive early in the morning, and lovingly prepare and serve a breakfast consisting of oatmeal, quesadillas, sandwiches, fruit, and freshly brewed coffee. Indoors, the kitchen bustles with energy, as volunteers churn out hundreds of delicious quesadillas over the hot stove. Outdoors, volunteers warmly greet and serve throngs of guests in the serving line.
