Due to the recent economic and political upheavals in Venezuela, many people fled in fear of persecution and took refuge in Trinidad. On 2nd June 2019, SSIO volunteers from the Lange Park Sathya Sai Centre in Trinidad distributed clothing, shoes, blankets, and towels to more than 110 refugees from Venezuela, for which the refugees were grateful.
