Over 25 years ago, on 15th October 1993, the Moscow Sathya Sai Centre – the first in Russia, opened its doors. To celebrate this joyous occasion, 45 SSIO members from three cities gathered in Moscow. Volunteers decorated the venue with red heart shaped balloons and covered Baba’s chair with gold brocade. A brief film depicting the history of the Centre was shown, bringing back a nostalgic sentiment and resurrecting many happy memories. A senior SSIO leader then shared the history of the organisation, which was followed by a presentation of floral tributes to all senior SSIO members whose continued and tireless contributions were honoured. The festivities concluded with EHV students presenting a musical program about the country followed by joyous devotional songs and a concert.
