The SSIO of Spain held their Annual National Retreat in El Escorial, about 45 kilometres from Madrid, during 6th – 9th December 2018. Based on the theme “Trust in Your Heart”, this year’s retreat included workshops on human values education, meditation, and a walk through the beautiful gardens at Price’s Cottage. A highlight of the retreat was the inspiring talk by Ms. Karuna Sarup-Munshi, an alumnus of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, who spoke about the importance of trusting one’s heart and fully dedicating oneself to the mission of the SSIO. The participants shared their experiences with a ‘Serve the Planet’ project conducted in the area south of Tenerife.
