On World Human Values Day, 24th April 2018, SSIO members across the United Kingdom participated in a walk to celebrate the five fundamental human values: Truth, Right Conduct, Peace, Love, and Nonviolence. The values were showcased in posters, banners, and keyrings, magnets and balloons distributed to the public. At the end of the walk, everyone gathered for an open-air Human Values Concert, featuring the musical groups, De Montfort University Choir and Vadé A Cappella. Following a buffet lunch organised by SSIO volunteers, a Unity of Faiths Symposium brought together leaders from different faiths and organisations, including the Federation of Muslim Organisations, Leicester Jain Centre, UK Sikh Council, and Shri Swaminarayan Mandir (BAPS, Leicester). The symposium, along with the walk and the concert, underscored the beauty and importance of love as a unifying force.
