About 300 Sathya Sai volunteers of Australia celebrated the national Plant a Tree Day on 29th July 2018 to plant more than 17,000 trees across the country. In the New South Wales region, volunteers including young adults and SSE children enthusiastically planted more than 15,000 trees in six locations. Fifteen volunteers joined the local Upper Mount Gravatt Environmental Group in Queensland to plant approximately 150 new trees. In Victoria, 60 volunteers planted more than 600 trees within a few hours, in brilliant sunshine. Young adults in Western Australia participated in a local Trillion Trees Challenge, offering their services in honour of Guru Poornima. During the planting, the young adults dedicated each tree lovingly to a person, to encourage a heart-to-heart connection with their task.
