A total of more than 24,000 people from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Moldova and Azerbaijan attended a series of public meetings in early April 2018. These meetings are conducted to share the life and teachings of Sathya Sai Baba, His work, and the activities of the Sathya Sai International Organisation (SSIO). These zone-wide meetings of Zone 8 of the SSIO, held twice a year, also provide the participants with an opportunity to come together to share their experiences and knowledge. Energetic conversations ensued on a variety of topics, including human values, energy conservation, environment, spiritual health, controlling the senses and mind, and the harmful effects of alcohol, tobacco and drugs. Round table discussions and talks were organised on spiritual and moral education matters for the younger generation. The events were also marked by melodious devotional singing.
