On 12th May 2018, the SSIO of Hong Kong organised a Go-Green Fun Fair, titled “Let’s Green It Up,” at Kowloon Park, an open-air public space in the heart of the city. About 150 under-privileged children and parents, including members of ethnic minority communities, took part in the joyful event. SSIO volunteers, including young adults and SSE children and teachers, set up seven game stalls providing information on how to conserve water and electricity and reduce the use of plastics. The Ladies’ Wing of the SSIO provided stalls for face painting, arts and crafts, and refreshments. Every child took home gifts such as school bags and stationery, and every participant received an information sheet with practical tips on protecting the planet, along with an environmentally-friendly bag bearing the SSIO Go-Green logo.
