At a regional volunteer camp, in mid-June 2017 in the Sverdlovsk region of Russia, 19 SSIO members, including three young adults and three local community members, refurbished a site for a future medical camp. SSIO volunteers, along with community members from Yekaterinburg, repaired the central foyer of the Palace of Culture. SSIO members also repaired the roof, walls, and floor of a school principal’s office. A few days before the service camp, Sathya Sai volunteers presented a creative workshop on Love for Nature for 25 children ages 7–12. The children were given proverbs and riddles, learnt the art of wool painting, and used these to create a beautiful butterfly. Members of the community appreciated the selfless service of the volunteers, including the young adults and ladies who cooked and served delicious food to everyone present.
