The Sathya Sai group from Moldova has distributed food packages to needy people, including veterans and their families, weekly since 2005. On 12th June 2016, volunteers lovingly served food and distributed supplies to veterans of World War II. SSIO members continue to help the needy and elderly veterans by providing their families with potatoes, rice, sugar, butter, and apple juice on a weekly basis. During the holidays, they also distribute various bakery products, as well as toothpaste, soap, deodorant, and other hygiene items. As of late 2016, 49 families were receiving food and supplies on an ongoing basis.
