Members of the Sri Sathya Sai Center in Hamilton, New Zealand, have been involved in environmental activities since 2013. Initially, they focused on cleaning around the Lake Rotorua area, but since 2016, they have shifted their efforts to Minogue Park and its surrounding forest reserve. In 2018, they began planting native trees within the park, marking a new phase in their conservation efforts. The Hamilton City Council (HCC) has a 50-year plan to revitalize the park into a thriving habitat for native fauna and flora. In March 2024, nine Sai volunteers contributed to regular weed management activities in the park which has helped restore the park’s Forest Lake as home to various bird species.
