The National Ladies Wing of the SSSIO in Trinidad and Tobago organized a clothing drive on March 10 and a food and hamper drive on March 24, 2024, at the Sai Nilayam facility in collaboration with the Longdenville Sathya Sai Primary School and the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Garden of Blooms. Donating gently used clothing is a simple yet impactful way to contribute to social welfare, environmental sustainability, and fostering community support. Around 20 SSSIO volunteers and 100 public participants organized the clothing drive.
The food and hamper drive aimed to provide those with food insecurity in bordering communities with essential meals and food hampers. This service was hosted by 10 SSSIO volunteers and about 35 people from the public. It was a compassionate and impactful way to support the well-being of individuals experiencing food insecurity.
