Every year on January 6, Peruvians, like many other Christians, commemorate the arrival of the Three Wise Men or Three Kings at Jesus’ manger, bearing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. SSSIO volunteers in Peru traditionally celebrate this joyous occasion with loving service nationwide. This year, the service involved community participation and aimed to implement education and social service ideals.

Volunteers in the San Antonio district, Huarochirí Province, provided toys, clothing, footwear, candy surprises, accessories, quilts, sheets, and chocolate bars and organized a workshop on human values for children aged 6-12. Around 60 children received toys, clothing, footwear, and accessories. SSSIO volunteers also provided haircuts.

Delicious chocolate was prepared and shared with community members and children in Cerro San Francisco, Villa María del Triunfo district, Lima province, and toys were given to children aged 1-12. Clothing, shoes, purses, and fleece quilts were donated for cold weather. Free haircuts were provided for both children and adults. A human values workshop was held for children aged 6-12, focusing on love toward Jesus.
