On 24 January 2020, SSIO volunteers in Veeramuani, a rural village in Sri Lanka, organised a workshop for teenage students and their parents on raising awareness of the ill-effects of drug and alcohol consumption. Attended by 55 students and 16 parents, the event was organised by the District Drugs Abolition Unit, Children Probation of Divisional Secretariat, Grama Niladhari, the police, and the SSIO.
