A team of ten SSIO volunteers joined in support of refugee children in the small village of Walchsee, in the Kufstein district of Austria. Two years ago, this region played host to many refugees who had fled their homelands, seeking asylum in Austria. SSIO volunteers visited the refugees thrice between May and July 2017, incorporating SSEHV in educational activities such as teaching German to the children. The volunteers also helped the children with homework and organised entertaining activities, including storytelling, singing, dancing, and painting, with the help of the parents. The series of visits by Sathya Sai volunteers helped the children to get inspired and motivated them to participate in the class with interest and discipline. The children also participated joyfully in other organised activities incorporating human values themes, such as musical experiments with a sound-bowl, role-playing, drawing, papercraft, and a memory game created by the European Sathya Sai Education Institute.
