On 23rd September 2017, 25 adults, children, and youth from the Sathya Sai Centre of Middlefield took part in the 12th Annual Terry Fox Walk, which supports cancer research, at Featherstone Park in Toronto. This was the Sathya Sai Centre’s first year to participate in the event, in conjunction with an Adopt-A-Park clean-up project, which started in April 2017. SSIO members first cleaned up the park, then prepared for the Walk enthusiastically, enjoying the unseasonably warm weather. The participants received encouragement from the local Councillor, Mr. Logan Kanapathi, a long-time community activist.
