More than 630 people attended a series of public meetings organised by 250 Sai community volunteers from 50 Sathya Sai Centres in Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, and Azerbaijan, between 26th October and 11th November 2017. These meetings addressed a broad range of topics, including the teachings of Sathya Sai Baba, SSIO programmes, and conservation of the environment. In Kazakhstan, volunteers shared their experiences in planting and caring for trees in cities and removing plastic waste from the sea. In Kyrgyzstan, volunteers spoke about the importance of spiritual development and the role of spiritual teachers, followed by devotional singing, filling everyone with love, joy, and gratitude. SSIO members in Ukraine presented a film stressing the importance of human values, respect for elders, and maintaining family traditions, culture, and spirituality. Volunteers in Belarus organised a “Sai Café,” an interesting group activity wherein participants discuss the role of language in controlling emotions.
