On 18th November 2017, eight children accompanied by seven adults from the Sathya Sai Centre of Cuauhtémoc, Coatzacoalcos, in Veracruz, Mexico, participated in a beach-cleaning project to commemorate the 92nd Birthday of Sathya Sai. As part of the global Serve the Planet initiative, the children, between the ages of 5 and 15, collected waste, mainly plastics, and sorted them into bags for recycling. The hard work and dedication of the young children inspired many observers, including a mother who thereupon wanted her children to attend classes on Sathya Sai Education in Human Values. Another visitor to the beach rewarded the noble and selfless service of the children by offering them ice cream.
