On 23rd September 2017, 35 volunteers from the Sathya Sai Centre of Cooksville gathered at Aquinas Park in Mississauga, Ontario, for an annual tree planting event in partnership with the City of Mississauga. Despite a warning of excessive heat, SSIO volunteers, including SSE children, showed their commitment and spirit of love and service to the environment by planting 151 saplings. A Member of Parliament for Mississauga, paying an impromptu visit to the park, praised the selfless service of the volunteers.
