Members of the SSIO in Thailand organised village service as part of a village adoption programme. Volunteers packed and distributed care packages of rice, oil, sugar, noodles, milk, cookies and diapers to 18 families and needy people in the village. SSIO members visited four former employees of the local Sathya Sai School who had been injured in a road accident, to comfort them. The volunteers also accompanied a local building contractor to take measurements for three houses scheduled to be built in the initial phase of the village adoption programme.
