SSIO members of Kazakhstan hosted a national family camp, themed “Happiness Is Our True Nature,” in early July 2017. Focusing on health and education, more than 50 SSIO members and others participated in a variety of events and activities. At the campground, laid out across a beautiful glade surrounded by snow-white birch trees, the children received daily lessons on human values and took part in creative workshops. Games and sports were organised for all, and the children performed plays, songs, dances, and acrobatics. On the penultimate day, volunteers participated in a 20-km walk through the spectacular Tsar’s Path, where they cleaned a heavily littered section of coastline, to help restore the environmental grandeur. A local official, pleased with the services rendered, invited the SSIO to return next year.
