On 11th April 2016, the SSIO of New Zealand inaugurated an Interfaith Friendship Group at the Trinity Methodist Church in Highland Park. Among the 129 people who attended the event were speakers from various faiths and indigenous communities. Following the programme, 34 eager participants formed a task force to plan future activities emphasising love, cooperation, and service, the first event being a festive day for children with special needs.
