Sathya Sai devotees in Greece organised a spring festival in May, and distributed food to needy families in May and June.

May 2013 – Spring Festival and Service to the Needy

On Sunday, 19th May 2013, Sathya Sai devotees organised a spring festival in Agia Barbara, Aegaleo. The Chronic Ailment Clinic of West Attica was beautifully decorated with flowers, and patients were brought in and lovingly served fruit juice and a meal. Lively entertainment, with music and dancing, touched the hearts of all.

In May 2013, a youth team from the Sai Centre supplied 30 bags of dry food to a primary school located in Athens, for the children of 15 needy families. Each bag contained bread, milk, oil, sugar, tomato juice, rice, lentils, beans, spaghetti and biscuits.

June 2013Community Service in Greece

On Saturday, 1st June 2013, Sathya Sai devotees distributed 35 bags of food to needy families in Perama, Piraeus. On the same day, a paediatrician together with an assistant visited 17 families and examined 18 children, of whom 10 were vaccinated. Instructions were given to the parents on the proper management of their children’s health. Many prescriptions were filled, and necessary medicines were given according to the patients’ needs.

On Saturday, 8th June, 7 adult and 4 youth Sathya Sai devotees visited PIKPA or “KAAPAA,” the Children’s Recuperation & Rehabilitation Centre in Voula, Attiki, and played basketball and volleyball with the children.
